Behind the Scenes: Re-potting Our Giant Bonsai

Here’s a quick and no-fuss look at how we re-potted one of our showpiece bonsai; the big, twisty ficus you’ve seen around. This involved plenty of dirt under the nails, creative problem solving, and a lot of admiring the trunk. The tree had a few awkward root loops, so we used a strap and a clever anchor to hold it where we wanted while it settles. Not glamorous at first, but brings brilliant results.

What makes this bonsai different?
