Behind the Scenes: Starry Sky Wall Installation

Bringing a starry sky indoors is equal parts art and engineering. In these behind-the-scenes photos, our lighting specialists install a custom “starfield” wall and sculptural ceiling elements to create an immersive, soft-glow environment tailored to a residential lounge. This project highlights what makes bespoke lighting different: precision planning, custom components, and on-site craftsmanship that off-the-shelf fixtures can’t replicate.

Bespoke lighting is design-led, not product-led. For this starry-sky installation we combined:

• Custom light nodes (micro-LEDs or fiber-optic terminations) laid out in a unique pattern to mimic natural star clusters and movement.

• Programmable control system (scene presets & dimming) to tune intensity, color temperature, and dynamic sequences for different moods.

• Diffusers and sculptural elements to soften glare and add tactile depth — seen in the suspended translucent pieces in image 1.

• Concealed low-voltage feeding and mounting to keep the design seamless and maintenance-friendly.

The result is a layered, low-glare constellation effect that reads as art during the day and as a calm, cinematic ceiling/wall at night.
